Born in Rochester Kent, England, Sarra Jarvis-Gallagher is a diverse Los Angeles based songwriter/producer who has seen many sides of the music business -- as a touring guitarist, songwriter, producer, and former Governor for the Recording Academy (Grammy Awards).

Sarra is among a select group of elite songwriters who are invited to write custom songs for the top Hollywood movie studios such as Sony and Paramount. A custom-written song she co-wrote hit big in Universal's $38M surprise summer hit "Undercover Brother," starring Eddie Griffin and Chris Kattan.

When working as a record producer, Sarra focuses her attention on writing, arranging, and producing songs for artists. She and cowriter Cat Cohen have created a series of contemporary pop/rock songs in English and in Spanish under the moniker the Angelina Duende Group.

Sarra's dedication to her craft has led her to refine her talent through training and instruction under some of the industry's best songwriters and musicians. She has studied with legendary award-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman--who have worked with Barbra Streisand, Sting and Quincy Jones, to name just a few--an experience she describes as "unique, valuable and historical."

Her production abilities have been enhanced by her studies with Emmy Award winning composer/orchestrator Thom Sharp and attending seminars with Grammy Award winning producers David Foster (*NSync, Celine Dion), Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Wilson Phillips), David Kahne (Paul McCartney, KD Lang), and Desmond Child (Ricky Martin).

Sarra is an active member of the Recording Academy, ASCAP, and the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP).
